Senior QA Automation Engineer - High English Proficiency

Role description:   QA Automation Engineer part of a large enterprise level project developing a global web based application.  Project is using Agile/ scrum methodology, and SAFe (Scaled Agile Framework). There are multiple (15+) scrum teams developing in 2 main technologies: .NET & SFDC. End Customer is a global technology and industrial company with presence in more than 150 countries.  This will be a central role to support automation efforts for System Integration Testing team and across all program teams, great chance to have daily interaction with experts in the US and Colombia, and to have an impact on how Test Automation enables dev teams to be more efficient and deliver value to business users more frequently.

Responsibilities:

  1. Develops and implements QA test plans
  2. Creates and executes test scenarios,  test scripts and workflows for assigned applications from the user’s perspective, applying systematic testing principles to attain good coverage. 
  3. Creates, Maintains and executes automated regression suites.
  4. Experience with Architecture, Design and Implementation of Automation Frameworks
  5. Implement eligible test cases for automation 
  6. Does data set up, smoke testing of the test environments as part of environment readiness 
  7. Works with System Integration Testing team and across development teams to ensure quality implementation of user stories, and adoption of Automation Framework when appropriate 
  8. Evaluates testing effectiveness and consults with team members and team leads to implement adjustments.
  9. Participates in Release meetings and Agile ceremonies


Requirements:

  1. Bachelor Degree in Computer Science or  related discipline with experience in current software quality assurance practices.
  2. 5+ years related software testing or systems quality assurance experience.
  3. Strong working knowledge of software testing methodologies and software development life cycle.
  4. Strong process orientation and knowledge of the entire Quality Assurance life cycle.
  5. Experience configuring and conducting automated testing using commercial test automation tools and frameworks, such as Microsoft Test Professional, Selenium Web Driver, Page Object Model, Coded UI Tests.
  6. Experience with application lifecycle management platform, and defect tracking systems, ideally TFS (Team Foundation Server) or equivalent, such as PTC Integrity, ClearQuest, JIRA.
  7. Experience with test case management tool, ideally MTM (Microsoft Test Manager)  or equivalent.
  8. Strong Technical skills to automate test cases using a testing framework & Visual Studio / C# (or another major language like Java)
  9. Ability to work independently with excellent organizational skills and the flexibility and adaptability to work on multiple projects.
  10. Strong analytical, design, and problem solving skills with good attention to detail.
  11. Experience working in Agile / Scrum environments where QA team members collaborate closely with development teams from beginning of software life cycle, e.g., participating in daily calls 
  12. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. 

Nice to have:

  1. ​Previous experience working in international projects with customers in the US or English speaking countries, participating in daily meetings in English
